Travel Information

The travel program offers young athletes an opportunity to play a more competitive level of soccer than what is found in the area recreation programs. The travel teams of our club proudly represent the Mayfield area playing teams from surrounding communities in Northeast Ohio. The travel program aims to further develop its participants as “students of the game” by reinforcing more advanced technical skills, developing tactical awareness, enhancing physical conditioning and focusing on sportsmanship by providing good training opportunities and sound coaching. Our travel program encompasses the following:

  • Two 8 game outdoor seasons (Fall & Spring)
  • At least two (2) training sessions per week during the outdoor seasons
    • Foot-skills
    • Team practice
  • At least two (2) outdoor tournaments
  • Indoor off-season training program
  • Most teams participate in at least one (1) indoor season
  • Club registration fees are $350 plus uniform costs (estimate approximately $85 for uniforms) – additional tournaments and indoor sessions not included in the registration fees
  • Payment plan available
Starting with the 2016-17 season, we will be switching over to birth-year registration vs. school-year as mandated by the U.S. Soccer Federation.  This change impacts many levels of youth soccer, including teams in the OHTSL.  For some of our players, that means they will “play up” a division in the fall.  For others, they will simply move on to the next division as expected.  Please note that we are evaluating how this change impacts the club and will be working with the coaches to ensure our players are at the forefront of team decisions.  For additional questions as to why the USSF is making these changes, refer to the Player Development Initiatives FAQ produced by US Soccer.
