Rec League Information

2017 Fall Season 

Boys and Girls Grades K-8

Objective:
To instill in our youth players a sense of enthusiasm, self-confidence, good sportsmanship, and teamwork by emphasizing the game’s basic fundamentals
When:
Most teams will have one practice during the week with games on Saturdays, starting September 9th and ending in October
Where:
Games are played at Parkview Fields
Cost:
$65 – All participants($45 for each additional child)
$20 – Current Mayfield Travel Players
Registration:
All registration is handled through our online registration  
  • Payment by credit card or via check
  • Immediate confirmation that your child is registered
  • Faster notification for when teams are chosen
Registration and payment is due by end of day August 26th to avoid a $20 late fee.  Registrations received after the 26th will be accepted if space permits
Age Groups:
  • K & 1st Grade
  • 2nd & 3rd Grade
  • 4th – 6th Grade
  • 7th & 8th Grade

**Coed play at all age groups (unless registration numbers allow otherwise)**

Parents, please note.  Over the past several years, coach and teammate requests have become increasingly difficult to manage and at times creates unbalanced teams.  As a result, do not take placement requests.  Additionally, based on the Mayfield Soccer Club Code of Conduct, we reserve the right to determine acceptance of players into the league

Parents are encouraged to sign up for game cancellation notices through RainedOut.  This free service will allow us to quickly update parents on the field status for game days

Rules of the MSC Recreation League

  1. All participants must wear shin guards or they will not be permitted to play
  2. Soccer cleats while optional are strongly recommended(football and baseball cleats are not allowed)
  3. Players should not wear jewelry during the game and may be asked to remove it before taking the field
  4. No parent, coach or spectator is permitted behind the goal area for any reason during the game
  5. Parents and spectators must sit on the opposite sideline from the player’s bench
  6. Snacks are a great thing after the game, but please be respectful of the school or park grounds and pick up any trash before leaving a site… this includes water bottles… sidelines far too many time are left littered with trash
  7. The referee’s decision is FINAL!!  There will be absolutely NO arguing of any call.  Confrontation with a referee will mean automatic ejection from the field
  8. We are always looking volunteers.  So please do not offer criticism to someone who has donated their time to help the children… Please offer help!
